Welcome to our website. I hope you enjoy our web gardens and someday soon, you will visit us at Beagle Ridge.


We are presently closed for the season except for school groups and are presently still scheduling group tours for this fall for field trips and also for 2009 Be sure to get your date early to assure availability.

This site focuses on the Environmental Education Center Division of Beagle Ridge. For information about the herb farm please click on http://www.beagleridgeherbfarm.com The Environmental Education Center provides programming for all ages on a variety of topics and is the premeire Outdoor Classroom in the Blue Ridge.

Beagle Ridge features a variety of ecosystems and a wide selection of wildlife. Deer, red fox, grey fox, racoons, coyote, bobcat,countless bird species and even the elusive bear make the property their home. For the nature lover, gardener, photographer, wildlife or bird watcher the grounds area mecca of natural history.

Group tours and programming

If you would like to schedule a visit for your group, just drop me an email and we will try to accomodate. We are presently scheduling tours for 2009. We host groups and garden clubs by appointment during the week. Ask for a list of program available and lunch options-yes be sure to come enjoy an herbal lunch in the gardens.

Programs

A large part of our focus is education and creating Outdoor Classrooms.

All our school programs are corellated to the Virginia Standards of Learning for Science, Math, English and Social Science.  Outreach programs are available at your school or come to Beagle Ridge for a field trip. Particulars are available on the Environmental Education link to the left.
